Public Information

For those professionals and others who work with addicts we have a printable meeting list that would help you in directing them to meetings as they are listed by cities in the greater Brevard County area. It also directly answers what most addicts might be thinking about when it is suggested they attend a NA meeting. We run Public Service Announcements on various broadcast networks. If you have an immediate need to talk to someone from the East Central Florida Area Public Information Committee you can call us toll free at 844-623-5674 extension 777.

Narcotics Anonymous is a global, community-based organization with a diverse membership. NA was founded in 1953, and our membership growth was minimal during our initial twenty years as an organization. Since the publication of our Basic Text in 1983, the number of members and meetings has increased dramatically.

Today, NA members hold more than 63,000 meetings weekly in 132 countries. We offer recovery from addiction by working a 12 Step program and suggest regular attendance at Group meetings. The Group provides help directly from addicts and offers an ongoing support network for addicts who wish to pursue and maintain an addiction free lifestyle.

Our name, Narcotics Anonymous, is not meant to imply a focus on a particular drug. NA’s approach makes no distinction between different drugs or alcohol. Membership is free, and we have no affiliation with any organizations outside of NA including governments, religions, law enforcement groups, or medical and psychiatric facilities.

Through all of our service efforts and our cooperation with others seeking to help addicts, we strive to reach a place where every addict in the world has an opportunity to experience our message of recovery in their own language and culture.
